With tablets slowly getting hold of a rapidly growing market, more and more companies are trying to come up with their own tablet versions set to put up a challenge for the Apple iPad, the current tablet leader. Others have already been introduced but so far none of them have yet made a dent in the market. Toshiba is taking on the challenge by coming up with its new Regza AT300 Tablet, expected to arrive in Japan by June of this year.
The new Toshiba Regza AT300 Tablet features a NIVIDIA Tegra 2 1GHz processor with 1GB RAM and a 16GB eMMC internal flash memory. It also comes with a 5MP back camera and a 2MP front camera. It already has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and features an HDMI output interface. It runs on the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS and comes with a 10.1 inch LCD type multi-touch display to round up its impressive features.
But what makes it interesting is that the Toshiba Regza AT300 Tablet provides connectivity features that allows it to be integrated with other devices falling under the Regza Family of devices, thanks to Toshiba Regza App Connect.
The new Toshiba Regza AT300 Tablet is expected to arrive in Japan sometime in June and may cost around 60,000 Japanese Yen or around US$700. Entry into the US market is rumored to follow, which might make it another potential challenger for the iPad.
